Military Grade Adjustable Width Spreader

The Military Grade (MG) Spreader is available in adjustable width versions. The smallest option, MG4-6, goes from a minimum width of 4 ft and expands to a maximum width of 6 ft. The largest option, MG7-12, goes from a minimum width of 7 ft and expands to a maximum width of 12 ft. In addition to the 4-6 and the 7-12 we also have the MG5-8 (5ft.-8ft.) and MG6-10 (6ft.-10ft.). The width adjustment can be performed without using any tools by loosening T-handle nuts and cranking 2000 LB screw jacks until the material spreader is at the width needed.

The width of each side can be adjusted independently so that the material being spread can be offset to one side relative to the truck (spread a road and the shoulder while the truck is still on the road).

The military grade spreader has a narrow screed that heats up very quickly and stays hot longer. Important qualities to consider when spreading asphalt in early spring or late fall or if you are located in northern climates.

Just like tracks on a bulldozer, the extra-large skids on a Military Grade Spreader provide a low ground pressure. This helps when spreading on soft ground such as gravel or dirt that has not been compacted.

- The Military Grade (MG) Spreader is made of thicker metal, is taller, longer, and has more reinforcement to help it last longer in harsh environments.
- All fasteners are Grade 8 and galvanized for chemical and corrosion resistance.
- The spreader is composed of High Grade bright finish A-36 Steel, laser cut and professionally welded.
- Extra-wide skids with an AR-400 wear plate bottom surface is standard for the Military Grade Spreader.
- Mechanical 2000 lb capacity jacks for height and width adjustment are standard. They are easily removed for replacement.
- Adjustable Width versions are MG5-8 & MG7-12
- Fixed Width versions are MG6, MG8, MG10, MG12
- The height of each side of the spreader is independently adjustable to provide or correct for ground slope.
- The hitch system has quick detach pins for easy removal of the spreader from the truck.
- All adjustments for height and width can be made without tools. Custom bolt bars with T-handle nuts are standard on the Military Grade Spreader.
- There is also an optional baffle kit for this spreader.

An attachment for heating the screed is included on all military grade material spreaders as standard equipment.

The spreader uses mechanical jacks that are rated at 2000 Lbs capacity each that are designed to be removed for replacement or cleaning if necessary. All fasteners are plated Grade 5 or better.

The height of each side of the spreader is independently adjustable to provide or correct for ground slope.

A removable grate that allows operators to stand on for comfort.

Extra-wide skids with an AR-400 wear plate bottom surface is standard for the Military Grade Spreader.

The “MG7-12″ is adjustable up to 12ft. in width.
